Multiverses is one of the best examples I've seen of snacthing defeat from the jaws of victory
Mio: Memories in Orbit is an amazing game. The music, art style and gameplay are all top notch. I hope more people pick it up
Saw Hell is Us in the thumbnail and had to watch, was an fun game if your into a eerie dark atmospheric mystery game with some action
Sonic CrossWorlds is one of the few racing games I keep finding myself coming back to from time to time. I also grinded my ass off to get all the trophies when it first came out too! I’m sad to see it honestly isn’t doing better but glad it’s still getting support nonetheless!
I was hoping you'd mention xDefiant; that game didn't deserve to be canceled
7:10 I never heard of Marathon.
I still intend to try out Hell is Us at some point, largely as a result of the praise from this channel
hell is us hurt
I feel like Scott Pilgrim EX suffers from the same problem as 2XKO. The name makes it sound like it’s a re-release especially in this day and age with tons of remakes and re-releases. The first game came out 15 years ago and audiences may not have realized that it was a sequel.
take a drink every time jake says fighter game
Never heard of Steel Hunters, but Id play a single player version of that! Running through the buildings looked great!
10:58 "The couldn't move their release date in that short of a time" - well, Clover Pit and Megabonk did move their release date because of Silksong, and they were quite popular even if for a time. Sure, those are as indie games as it gets, but not moving release date as Hell Is Us did couldn't be better than delaying, right?..
Only one I agree on is Hell is Us
I totally agree that Hell is Us should have attracted a lot more attention. The different environments, the sound design, the music and the lore really made it worthwhile in my opinion.
Glad you made this video. I'll be adding some of these to my backlog
Gotta do my due diligence and shout-out Screamer which only ever peaked at 724 concurrent players on Steam. Absolutely criminal considering how much fun it is. If you are in the market for a good racing game I can't recommend it enough.
Hell is Us is such a unique game. So dark, risky and brave in its themes. I'm glad Jake liked it a lot
2XKO had half it's team fired after launch. In the current state of the gaming industry, that can even be the result of a good and popular game
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt is my favorite game that did not deserve to fail. It had such a unique tone and aesthetic for a battle royale, and had amazing verticality that i havent seen in any other game.
I had MIO on my wishlist for a while, really liked it's artstyle. Will check it out...
