New cars are just "how many points of failure do you want?"

You've reached the end
New cars are just "how many points of failure do you want?"
“If you had a key you might think you’re the owner.”
"dont worry we just have to get the jump pack" "okey where is the jump pack?" "it's in the trunk..."
I'm a software engineer, the last thing I want is things dependent on power or software.
The funniest thing is they still include a blank where the key would be that serves no purpose besides "think of what you could've had" lol
Those doors are illegal in china and the EU now btw
Clearly these engineers have never lived where it snows out and that button would be frozen over
I never want a car with this complexity.
As an engineer, I can say manufactures slogans should be "We added more points of failure.... than last years model!"
being able to open the frunk with nothing but a jump box seems like an enormous security oversight
This channel is top notch It helped me understand better.
I'm really happy to hear someone besides myself saying this. The move to completely kill off analog controls drives me INSANE!
Someone should make a horror movie where a character who would of survived dies because of the poor design in this vehicle, which earlier they are seen bragging about.
They're so focused on looks they completely forget about function. The whole purpose of a car is function
This would make my blood boil.
I wish we could go back to the days that we had a key and a separate remote that was the best time
And in cold winter areas , that button to open the door and that panel to access the jump box will all be frozen shut - especially after a snow storm! You have fun trying to get in
It's all about charging you more money.
The person who signed off on that design needs to be put in a camp.
As of this year, cars with no mechanical handles and no key holes in doors are prohibited to manufacture in China
