Danny Aaron’s is spending 2 grand plus per DAY on videos, you think all the little kids that watch that aren’t following suit and buying store packs..? He might rip EA, but at the exact same time he’s spending 10 grand on launch day of prem TOTS. Certain content creators (not just there faults but it is a massive issue) are saying the games shit and then encouraging younger viewers to spend ass loads of money on it. I’m 26 now, but back in the day I absolutely was influenced by the people I watched. EA’s entire marketing ploy is to get kids to gamble with there parents money. I’ll get off my soap box now but fuck it pisses me off seeing people rip fifa and the game apart and then broadcast themselves giving tens of thousands of dollars a year in pack openings to them

They're gonna market the hell out of the new open world mode, which will probably be very shallow and repetitive knowing EA. They just make it look nice for the trailers and casuals instead of putting something together that adds actual value to the game

This year I’ve had so much fun on the game because I quit fut very early in the year and only played career mode

I work for a huge multi billion dollar company and I’m telling you 1% nett revenue increase will be worrying internally for EA , they will be expecting 5-10% increase year on year minimum, you also have to take into account their year on year growth in years gone by was huge and the board will be expecting this to continue, I agree with your assessment they are in trouble in the long term.

Never spent even a cent in my life on store packs in 10 years of playing and honestly i can't understand how some people can spend their money so recklessly on packs, when they could donate to charity, invest in community, in their own education, get gifts for friends family etc it just breaks my heart but on the other hand if they don't care about their money, why should i? On the long term all this spending obviously is not sustainable and influences the game in a bad direction, but no one cares about taking preventative measures, instead they "adapt and overcome" once the shit hits the fan. So yeah, im going to patiently wait to see the downfall of the game and pop some beers once it goes back in a better direction. Thank you for joining my ted talk much love ❤

I remember the early days of FUT where if you complained (like via forums) everyone would respond "get good; learn how to play." Now, the norm is to complain and everyone is like "yup, game sucks." How the times have changed.

Given EA is expected to go private w/ Saudi investment, this will probably be one of the last times we will have any insight into financials. They already ignore the communities as much as possible, I don’t think it’ll get better.

Let's not forget about the Saudi deal.. The deal is loaded with $20 billion in debt. And analysts are saying EA will be operating at 6x leverage, meaning essentially all of its cash flow goes straight to interest payments. They need new revenue badly. So expect them to sell our data and provide a worse product.

I get that UT is the popular gamemode but there are no big football channels that heighlight how bad clubs is. Unlimited stamina, glitches upon glitches, archetypes, bussing + counter meta it’s so bad and now it’s more monitized than ever and imagine it’ll get worse next year.

As you said, they did a hell of a job marketing 26. No one will believe a word they say moving forward. You can only mislead and cynically exploit your customers for so long before you lose them. I agree that next year will be the genuine start of the slump unless they somehow go all in on mobile or they genuinely rebuild UT from the ground up including gameplay

Nothing good ever happens when profit hunting investment groups take over. They cut corners on quality to try to generate profit
