In this Mumbo Jumbo Minecraft video, Mumbo tries building Minecraft skyscrapers for the first time in a decade. Minecraft skyscrapers often look really bad - reminiscent of 2012 Minecraft constructions. Today I hope to change that by learning the rules of how they work. Mumbo is becoming a Minecraft Master. He can make complex circuits, intricate builds, win PVP battles, and maintain his outside life all throughout. We are not worthy! Edit: Apparently you're supposed to edit your comment when it gets popular, so here you go I guess.
1:43 we have come to a point where mumbo steals ideas from himself and not the other hermits.
For the larger skyscrapers I suggest 1. Forced perspective (smaller windows at the top) and 2. Window washing carts held by winches from the roof
Your biggest problem seems to be trying to combine bricks and Mangrove, which are close, but it's not QUITE a smooth transition. However, YOU'RE IN LUCK! I don't know if you've seen it yet, but the next update is adding the PERFECT block that goes between those two. It's the new Cinnabar block, which I'm guessing will release either the end of this month, or the very beginning of June. Either way, I think that's soon enough for you to wait on building that skyscraper, because the results will be INCREDIBLE!
Since you like animated stuff, there is a way to get minecarts to infinitely scatter water particles and make animated sprinklers. Would be cool
Mumbo's transition from redstone engineer to city planner/architect is finally complete
"I'm gonna have a tough bottom" - Mumbo Jumbo
you can use the game "stray" for inspiration too, it's kind of a post apocalyptic city with robots
11:35 when they come out, the Cinnabar texture would be great for that gradient
I think a Chongqing–Japan-inspired architectural style would fit your city really well, things like trains running through buildings, heavy verticalization, and elevated parks connecting the upper floors of different structures
8:23 Suggestion: dried kelp blocks are great for looking like tied-up trash bags
Don’t know if you’ve seen the apartment window lighting buildstone that Jake Kelton has previously showcased, where the lights in the windows turn on progressively and randomly after the sun sets. It could be cool to have the lighting in the robot inhabited sections turn on very like rhythmically and robotically the moment it gets dark, and juxtapose it with the random windows, or fires, that light up progressively through the night in the sections that the humans still occupy! (*I looked and it’s showcased in his video “20 new minecraft buildstone ideas” at 1:14, and was created by Pinguinhopper, it’s also a part of the buildstone city Jake and his community created called “Melport”, which you can download as a map on Planet Minecraft, probably the easiest way to view the redstone)
17:01 the tower really looks like a little robot guy
00:10Mumbo trust me, with how well you built last season and this season too you will be fine with these skyscrapers
12:00 Mumbo has discovered color theory, welcome to hell Mr Jumbo
Hey mumbo. Can you build a sewer system underneath your base which will dispose the sewer water into the river in front of your base?
I think it would be cool to have houses built from scrap tacked onto some of the skyscrapers - like an epiphyte
uh oh, Mumbo's using the Grian colors again
i’ve been loving the hermits showing more of their behind the scenes, creative mode building process in the videos, recently
Mumbo Jumbo will return in Avengers Doomsday
