The MacBook Neo genuinely surprised: 8GB of RAM handled Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve without a hiccup, its last-gen A-series chip runs circles around the M1 Air, and the macOS 27 Golden Gate beta made it faster, while the Apple Watch SE 3 delivers 95% of the Ultra 2 experience — always-on display, Double Tap, apnea detection without a blood oxygen sensor post-Masimo — for $219. The iPhone 17e is the disaster nobody expected: dropped frames at 60Hz, constant app relaunches, thermals so bad the display dims into unreadability outdoors, and no Apple Intelligence or new Siri in iOS 27 — a used iPhone 15 Pro at the same price is the better buy every single time. The base iPad is worse still, with decade-old silicon, a dim non-laminated display, and performance that makes the 17e look like a speed queen, while the AirPods 4 lose the seal, the bass, and Ultra Wideband Precision Finding for $30 less than AirPods Pro 3. With RAM crisis price hikes hitting Macs and iPads and Apple's new Apple Upgrade Program lease-to-own scheme designed to keep you renting forever, the real answer is buy to own — or buy used, because the magic was in the hardware all along. 0:00 Under $2K for a whole ecosystem?! 0:40 The troll toll comes for Cupertino 1:53 Apple wants you leasing forever 3:26 MacBook Neo: shame on me 6:44 iPhone 17e: I cracked at week three 9:52 The iPad I never finished setting up 12:18 Apple Watch SE 3 stole the show 16:08 AirPods 4 kept exactly one thing 17:43 The magic was in the hardware all along 18:27 Buy the used Lexus, not the new Corolla #Apple #RAM #budgettech #Fitnexa #SomniPods3 #SleepEarbuds #SleepTechAlso

My wife got an iPhone 17 non-pro upgrading from her 15 Pro. I kept my 15 Pro. After nearly a year she grabs my phone when she wants to take a properly good picture. 15 Pro is an *excellent* phone
I've loved your reviews for the better part of 10 years or so, and to no one's surprise, your delivery is just as informative, entertaining and as crisp as its ever been. Kudos! Keep up the fantastic work!
19:35 so naturally, now Quinn is going to do a 1 month used Apple challenge post price hike? Lol
I was waiting for this one, thanks :)
Shocked the 17e was that bad. My grandfather loves his 16e, and my mother loves her new 17e. Yes, the cameras aren't great, but neither of them want to shell out for the more premium iPhones. The battery life is mind blowing.
The 17e one surprised me; I switched from an S22 with a knackered battery to a 16e - at a discount because it’s end of line - and it’s excellent. I’ve never had issues with dropped frames, heat, or app crashes, even with a chunky rubber case in the heatwave that’s been wrecking the UK for the last few months. The only thing that I’d agree with is that the screen is definitely hard to see in direct sunlight. It doesn’t feel like a compromised experience at all, so this confused me a little because it’s so far off my experience with the on-paper less capable device.
The fact that these base models get warm or struggle to run basic tasks shows what an unbelievable abomination iOS 26 is. Like I never remember a time when a Apple product on its release software didn't run great.
Genuinely thought you cancelled this video, so happy to see it
So in summary, ios is currently so bloated and poorly optimised, that on the low end current devices it runs sub par and it shows hard…😂
As someone who upgraded from Ipad 6th generation to latest base ipad, I think it's perfectly good device if you just enjoy watching content on it and you don't have that perspective.
Just wanted to thank you for all the work you’ve done over the years, Quinn. You once shouted me out in a livestream of yours about 15 years ago, and I’ve been a fan ever since. Keep being Snazzy. 🎉
1:27 I sure hope Apple won‘t quietly erase the lowest Airpods storage tier
I LOVE my AirPods 4 I have nice wired IEMs for dedicated listening but for listening to YouTube and just casually having in my ears during the work day , taking calls etc. the non sealed versions are significantly more comfortable for all day listening. I also can’t use ANC on any device without horrendous head pressure. I still think the most comfortable shape they’ve done is the AirPods 1/2 shape - tried and hated how painful the 3s were but am thrilled that the 4s fixed most of the shape issue with the 3s
19:00 as somone who always buys used Apple, its is very WORTH IT. Saving up to half on a device thats 2 to 3 years old but still a powerhouse is amazing.
Quite the diva
I love seeing new quinn on my front page
The 16e runs WAY better than the 17e. The 16e is fantastic, especially since it can be found for cheap used. throw on a Magsafe case and you won't miss a thing. Amazing to get an Apple Intelligence capable phone for cheap.
I have an A16 iPad, and while it is certainly used less than my iphone 15 pro or m4 mbp, and I don't think it is as bad as you put it here. specially if you can still get it under 400. no where near as slow as you say, specially not with ipados27. a perfectly acceptable multimedia / browsing device.
