The PR machine at United is as a result of the club being a listed company. The board has an interest to maintain all the transfer and managerial change speculation because it does affect market sentiment/share price movement in the short-term. The Carrick Campaign has been in full swing for a while now. My feeling is we are being braced for his appointment so that the share price won't be as volatile when they officially announce it. It's the drip-drip effect.
