One Encounter Saved a Lifetime of Suffering #dog #rescue #story

Nature and animals

Often, rescues aren't planned. They're simply about being in the right place, at the right time. Today we were. "There's a little dog that needs help," Bobo said. I looked up... And then I saw her. A small girl on the end of a chain. The man was drunk, he could barely walk in a straight line, stumbling as he dragged her along behind him. Disgusting 🤮 🤮 💔💔 Bobo calmly approached the man and shook his hand as though they were old friends. No shouting. No aggression. Just calm. When Bobo asked what he was doing with the dog, the man could barely get the words out. "I'm taking her to someone." "So we'll take her instead," Bobo replied. The man asked for a little bit of money. Bobo told him that if he refused to hand her over, he'd involve the police. The moment she was safely in the car, I felt the weight lift. We got her. Bobo stayed behind and said what needed to be said. He was so intoxicated, he won’t remember any of it. We don’t know this little girl's story. Or where she was going. Or what would have happened if we'd driven past. Although everyone else drove past.. Today we saw her.. And today, her life changed forever. She’s only about 2 years old, such a sweet and gentle little girl. She doesn’t realise it yet, but what we’re offering her is a million times better than what she would have had. We’re looking for a kind person to sponsor and name her please, for a one off donation of £30 🙏🏼 **Update** Kindly sponsored by Lyanne Ausema, who so kindly has allowed Bobo to name her and he’s chosen the name Mandy ❤️ Also a kind person to help with the cost of her spaying please, also a one off donation of £30 🙏🏼 **Update** Kindly covered by Catherine Squirrely ❤️ — with Cosma Bogdan.
