This can happen to humans too unless your brain can quickly sort it. I was riding my bicycle along a sidewalk and a pickup truck with kitchen chair legs sticking out the side of the bed and there was overgrown bush branches next to the truck crossing the sidewalk touching the chair legs . As I was riding i saw the bush and in a split second I saw the chair legs mixed in the branches and my mind told me the danger and I avoided running into the chair legs. It is seriously nice to know my brain is still operating at full speed at my age... almost 68. The chair legs and branches were shoulder high, so, I would have been knocked right off my bike if my eyes hadn't seen and my brain hadn't registered the danger.
