After everything that's happened across the multiverse, he can't be completely sure the man standing before him is really Steve Rogers. That's why many fans believe Thor throws Mjolnir toward him as a test. If Steve catches it, there's only one explanation: he's truly worthy. An impostor or enemy disguised as Captain America wouldn't be able to wield the enchanted hammer. If Thor is this shocked to see Steve again, imagine his reaction when he finally reunites with Loki. As far as Thor knows, Thanos killed Loki in Avengers: Infinity War (2018). This is why loki was made to be the god of time. The last thing in infinity war we didn't see fixed was the timing. With loki know fixed into his position of the sacred timeline loom, he put everything into where it should because it gave him the ability to actually see whats next. Im looking forward to all of the surprises, like maybe even finding out that tony stark really is or was Peter Parkers dad. I mean come on, stark and Parker are to close in similarities already.

I can just see the post credit scene now, the camera pans out from black and there sits deadpool and the empress from the never ending story, and she hands him the last speck of the MCU, and then we see deadpool remake the MCU while flying on the back of falcore!
