We headed into the Heart of the Southern Alps, for 5 days of hunting and adventure. Our base was a tiny mountain hut nestled amongst the mountains and throughout the trip this was home. LOVE what you guys are doing. I'm from the US , an archery elk hunter and lover of all things nature, hunting and conservation. I got to come down here to the south island and see some of your incredible country. It's really really an epic place! For Americans - it's impossible to understand the hunting available down here (and the amount of surplus animals) so THANK YOU for the info in these videos for others to understand. Question on conservation. If we are looking to reduce over-population and control numbers of these species, why do you target ones "out of their prime" rather than say the young spiker that in 8-10 years of its life can produce 150-300 offspring? Not hating by any means, I'm a hunter myself, I've just always pondered this question.

Another awesome video . I haven't been hunting since i was a youngster with my dad. West coast of Canada on a small off grid gulf island. Watching these videos has encouraged me to get out hunting again. Love what you guy's are doing

You should take some Ghee with you! Awesome for cooking back steaks etc can also use it as a butter alternative in continental pastas etc. best thing is it’s sold so no chance of it leaking in you pack like cooking oil could.
