I only have a small camping fridge and a cellar, so no real refrigeration. My solution to canning as a single person and not wanting a bunch of half used open jars was to can in smaller jars. Perfect for single servings!

Another great, relaxing video! The flowers look beautiful, especially the hydrangeas in the front of the house…just gorgeous. Don’t you guys have a Split that gives you AC? My AC went out before July 4th and I haven’t been able to get someone in to fix it, so I’ve gone through two major heat waves this month. I was miserable! Thank God we’ve been getting a reprieve these last two days. When you guys get hot, get in the pool if the water is cool - don’t mess around with this heat. Keep wet frozen towels in the freezer - they really help. So glad you’re feeling better. Love the night sounds! See you guys in 7❤️
Precaution Tip for filling jars: I put my sterile jars in/on a metal baking pan or sheet before I fill them so that should a jar break, or should I spill as I'm pouring, the hot jam - or whatever I'm canning - won't spill over the counter or on me and the mess will be contained. I'm going to be doing jam making soon so that I can empty my freezer of older fruit and make space for new. Love your videos and the tips you give us each week. I also love the color of your zinnias!
