And DON'T use too thick pads, otherwise the PCB will bent and your GPU/DIE will not have contact to the cooler and it will overheat even faster... So check which pad thickness you need first before you do this.

The thermal putty seems to be touching the circuits how do you get them out without damaging it?

my tm putty works great, after applying you leave it flat for a few days and it goes rock hard.

Probably would of been a good idea to bring up the voiding warranty

Gigabyte has been notorious on cheaping out on their thermal pads, i had to replace the pads on my 1080ti and 3080, and sometimes they dont even apply thermal pads to the backplate.

The only time I needed to repaste my GPu was a month ago for my 6y old 3060Ti as it was overheating and the fans bearings were bad and was making a ton of noise. You don't need to do this if your gpu is running at or below 80°C it's just maintenance! make sure you use a good thermal paste like artic mx-7

Note this voids warranty before someone without any experience does this
