GeminiTay completes a hallway inside her survival mega base! Adding details to the interior, and finishing it with a large rotating painting using redstone. Video that helped me! I'm sure there are more recent ones out there, but for some reason I could not find them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-hoW7Id8FQ&list=LL&index=1 ✨Follow me! It's obligatory to have lots of secret tunnels and hidden passages in a base like this. Seeing how much space you have between floors and inside the walls just made me think of this. And you have to play Reverse Sardines in it eventually.
Seeing this notification while watching mumbo’s latest ep was wild. I'm absolutely loving the focus on art this season! Can’t wait to see what you get up to! After watching edit: Yeah this was probably my favorite episode thus far. Being an illustrator, I'm probably a little biased, but I absolutely loved seeing your inspo pics alongside in depth explanations of why you make certain choices. Also top tier gemstone. Redstone has never made sense to me, so mad props.
I love love love that so many hermits are really treating Minecraft more as a medium for art than a video game. It's exciting to me as an art lover that there's so much emphasis on artistry this season!
Not Gem being a victim of the piston push limit
if you fix your megabase fast enough mumbo might make you a painting
Exclamation points *AND* arrows in the thumbnail? Gem, you're spoiling us!
I understand the bubblevators but it would be fun to see spiral staircases and the hermits' suffering walking up them
9:56 Fun fact: you can grow sulfur spikes, then craft them into more sulfur blocks. It may be slow, but it saves you the trip to the sulfur cave!
25:21 one interior should definitely be a trophy room of some kind (maybe a little gory but with the heads of the hermits? Idk)
Watching Gem build her base gives you a little insight to why a lot of the old mansions and castles had all these little secret rooms and exits in them... and why people sometimes "find" hidden treasures" in the walls during renovations.
Me: knowing the block push limit is 12 abd thats way over 12 blocks. "Oh no gem."
Just you wait for Mumbo’s photo shop
3:31 Idea for the rose window, taken from Scar’s Scarland castle: if you put honey blocks between the glass and froglights, it looks really cool
What could be cool for an interior is a 'Cabinet of Curiosities' with taxidermies, natural minerals, and ancient relics.
Idea for the painting, you know how the minecraft clock has a day section and a night section with a moon and sun? Might be a fun way to incorporate the rotating aspect of the painting, seeing the sunset art you made reminded me of it. I love the build, it really seems like the kind of thing an eccentric rich noble would put in their house as a curiosity to show off to guests.
I love how we get building moments and some shenanigans as well,, very funny ones too,, and plus "GEMSTONE"!!!
24:43 I know what painting would fit nicely in the middle. Wonder if mumbo could help you with that. ;)
i have just adopted two cats and every time I hear the ghast i think it is them and I start looking what they are doing
23:45 it turned out so pretty! I bet the moving painting would definitely pop out more once you got the furniture in it! :D can't wait for the cushions to come out
Epic refresh pull
