I'M GETTING TIRED OF THIS! / Allotment plot DISASTER again!

I’m 55 and just moved into a house with a big enough garden for 2 raised beds! I’ve got pumpkins, cucumber, butternut squash, tomatoes, red peppers, chilli peppers, lettuce! I put a few shorts on my channel. All would be welcome, it’s glorious. I grew up in a garden with vegetable plots, can highly recommend Emma,, we used to get sent down the garden as kids to get potatoes carrots, peas, all sorts of wonderful things. Good times.

Your structures are not strong enough. You have no idea how heavy the sweet peas are.. a little wind and the fall down! No fox..

I kept hearing strange noises on the far side of my allotment. Last night I discovered what it was, I looked up to find 3 peacocks looking at me. I was slightly worried as they came into my plot and had a walk around. I was worried they were going to eat some of my crops. Fortunately they left and went walking on by, no damage done!!

"Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to love every single aspect of your hobby; you can just love it overall." This is so true. I think every hobby or craft has some part of the process that you just have to get on with to arrive at the finished product, or clear the decks for the process to begin again.

I think a home allotment plot would be a terrific idea! Gardening is not supposed to be this stressful, It should bring you joy and happiness. It's so difficult when it's not close by to keep a check on. You've done a wonderful job!

Oh my goodness!! Your sweet peas were so beautiful this year!! There so many seed pods left on the plants that you pulled. Even the full green pods can be pulled and laid out to dry! You'll have plenty to sow next year!! You have turned into a great gardener!!

An odd year in Southern Romania. The plums, apples, pears walnuts & apricots were hit by frost. I have hazelnuts, strawberries & the largest raspberry harvest ever. Hot & humid with slugs everywhere.

Emma - am also in London. Fox cubs going bananas on my plot . Tear up everything, scream non stop, sunbathe on the ( now squashed) beds and tossed around my flip flops lol Beds dry as a bone, couldn't water enough if was there 12 hrs a day. Think we all have to rethink what we grow going forward. Can't fight nature so go with the flow. It's going to be a hot dry summer 😂

Great vid 👍 You have inspired me so much, I went to my allotment yesterday thinking everything would be dead as it's so hot and dry, I had been working so couldn't get there earlier but I'm so glad I went as I harvested loads of spuds and my sunflowers looked beautiful, I made me so happy being there, there's nothing like it 😊

No garden is perfect or safe from all kinds of hazards. We bought a house in Florida and I was thrilled to put in a garden only to find out that the irrigation system is “reclaimed water” and cannot be used for bathing, drinking or to water edible food. 😢. Everything had to be tossed. Your garden is a paradise compared to mine.

i chop and drop lots of stuff as it provides an instant mulch which the worms take down ... works best the smaller you chop it. lay card board on top to stop weeds... it saves me a lot of work moving stuff around

You need a trail camera. I would buy one hide it somewhere

in the deep winter will you please show how nice your sweet peas were to cheer us all up i put my seed trays in cat litter trays
