The Side Of New York City They Donβt Show - 1st Time in Queens, New York My arrival guide e-bookβ‘οΈhttps://tinyurl.com/kenabroad-arrival-guide In this video we explore Queens in New York City. An area that most tourist who travel to New York overlook. During my last visit in New York City, I have only been to Manhattan, but I kept wondering what the non-touristy side of New York is like. Now I want to find out. We start the journey with a $500 First Class flight from Chicago to New York. Is it worth the upgrade? Once on the ground, we head straight to Flushing, home to one of the most authentic Chinatowns in the world, to find some incredible street food. I also meet up with a local friend, Greg (@FoodandFootprints) who takes me through the vibrant streets of Queens like Jackson Heights, Little Manila, and Little Mexico. We explore the local food scene, discuss the reality of living in NYC. If you want to see what life in New York is really like away from the skyscrapers, this vlog is for you! Are you a fan of Manhattan or do you prefer the local vibes of the outer boroughs? Let me know in the comments! Hey Ken! Queens is a great area and is huge. I moved from Scotland last year and I now live on the border of Long Island City and Astoria. I love it here and love how close I am to Manhattan, but it also feels different to Manhattan. It's a really cool, diverse place to live.
Love that the first NYer you met was a German speaking Pakistani! The diversity of NY's culture!
I will always support u ken
Queens has so many different areas, you can spend a long time there and not get a feel for all of it.
Very cool to see my favorite Youtuber in my neighborhood! I live about 10 minutes from Flushing, glad you enjoyed your time in Queens. Come back anytime!
Great video. So many people think Times Square, etc. is NYC, but it's just for tourists.
I've watched a decent amount of videos already, but this is my first time hearing Ken speak German π
Every airport I have been to in Europe has shops/pubs etc, very very common in all Airports.
1:00 that airport looks like the airport from home alone 2

That βiconic New York logoβ on the baseball cap you bought, is specifically the logo of the New York Yankees baseball team. You are expressing sports team loyalty without even knowing it.
You did a great job showing Queens!
Great first impressions and this is such a wholesome watch, Ken. Huge respect to Greg for taking and showing you the real spots. The diversity there is truly wonderful. Also how exciting that your mom will be joining you for this great trip. Can't wait for that episode. Well, a big thanks for sharing your cool journey. Good job, Ken.
Always counting down the days for the next Ken Abroad video. Keep it up brutha.
