You're a born teacher, Tipper. I love you showing us how you can, cook, bake, and all the stories of your Appalachian history. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. ❤🙏
Hi Tipper- I heard this today on an old TV show and wonder if you’ve ever heard it- Concerning canning- “ We eat what we can, and what we can’t, we can.” It gave me a chuckle and I thought of you! ❤️
There's no more powerful or sacred feeling than feeding and nourishing one's family, friends and those in need.

I enjoyed watching you can beans. You are fortunate to be able to can outside because canning really heats up a kitchen as you said. You and Matt are a great team! It is so thoughtful and sweet that Matt named Granny's canner. You are a special family. I am so happy that I found your channel. It feels so good to witness your pure kindness and love with all of the chaos in our world.
I used to snap beans and shell beans and peas with my granny when I was a young girl. We would sit on the porch and talk and laugh. Oh I sure miss those days. Good memories 💕🙏
Thank you for the green bean school! This is my first year with a garden thanks to y’all and I need all the education on each type of vegetables that I plan on growing. You are awesome!!
Tipper's in her happy place, taking care of her family. Her hard work is sweet and impressive. It's so incredible what she and Matt accomplish through teamwork.
Tipper I loved watching this video. It reminded me of my own mother who one year canned 75 quarts of green beans in a water bath canner. She worked like a dog getting all those beans canned and would set at night watching television and count all the “pings” she heard coming from the kitchen telling her the jars had sealed. She stored them all in a small hallway closet and sometimes would just open the door to it and admire all those jars of beans. They tasted better than anything I’d ever had before or since. Many times she only had a little bacon to put in the large pot of beans. Sometimes she had a ham hock. It didn’t matter cause they were always wonderful. Thanks for your channel! I appreciate all your family does.
🤣Matt’s hat!🤣
Shelves filled with the colors of foods one has grown in their garden is such a beautiful sight. I love how Matt named the canners!!
I love breaking beans! Seeing all the jars filled on the shelf is so rewarding.
Thanks for taking us home.
My grandma made the BEST fresh grean bean soup. Homemade chicken broth, anything else you like, cool some & add sour cream. Oh my. The best. Lemon juice too. She'd string them also. God bless you all and many prayers 😇 nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister😇 🙏🏻 ✨️ 📿 ✝️
So fitting to be in her home for this video ❤️
Oh, Tipper! You got me a little teary-eyed. Hearing you wax rhapsodic about green beans was lovely! I don’t believe I’ve ever heard anyone do so about green beans. 😂. It’s wonderful to spend time with a family that deeply appreciates the blessings of their life. Thank you and the fella in the goofy hat, too!
Breaking beans and canning them is one of my favorite things to do. It always reminds me of breaking beans with my grandparents. Sweet memories ❤
I have smiled, even cried a little-of course, happy tears watching this. I’ve taken part in canning from the time I could walk-of course, that started with picking, snapping and feeding the scraps to the goats or whatever would eat them. Watching you, I had time to think back on the most precious time of my life—with my Mamaw & Grandaddy. Your videos are so nostalgic and comforting-they set me back in time when my family “used to” be like you & your extended family. Not many can say that closeness continues. It’s such a blessing families like yours continue with closeness and traditions. I can my beans to a t like you. In addition, I’ll put on a huge pot, season just like I would for eating, cook about 1/3 to 1/2 done and can. That includes my fatback, bacon grease & salt. I’ll do about 2 dozen like that—on nights I don’t have time or feel like stamina over a stove, I simply warm ‘em and eat. They’re great-not overdone or rancid taste from the meat, bacon grease. I pray you run out of places to put jars you have such a great bounty this year. Have a blessed Friday & weekend —maybe some rest can be fit in somewhere!
Matt is soo funny! Him and his sideways hat gave me a real Belly-laugh, lol ♥♥♥
Back in my early days I remember my mother breaking beans, she would have an apron on or a skirt and she would take a handful of green beans and dump in her lap. She would break the beans and drop the strings back down into in her lap and put the fresh broke beans into a pan. Something I have always remembered. So when I break beans now, being a man I droop (or lay)A big towel across my lap and do the same thing she did. lol. it is so much easier to drop the string back down in your lap with the unbroken beans
