Can’t believe Kane Parsons had the audacity to turn 21, what a fraud.
The Older Gentleman is fiercely protective of his interior design techniques
Option 4: A24 has a third party handling their licensing and they’re treating the backrooms as if Kane parsons owns the concept
A24 doing the how to ruin your companies reputation any % speedrun
Imagine trying to copyright a yellow image with a design on it, pathetic, smh
I am always worried about disasters in the bathrooms
A24 is possibly having the biggest falloff in studio history
A24 has officially hit the level of corporate success where they become predatory. How disappointing
Why do companies always overreach in their desire for infinite growth?
Honestly, whether it’s A24 or not, we’re looking at a potential future where companies put their fingerprints all over shit that was originally just community made concepts.
The Older Gentleman has to do something about this
its like trying to describe copyright to somebody who has never heard about copyright before, then asking for them to write up legal documents. Edit: Why are yall fighting in the replies 😭
Update: /KaneHypeGuy/status/2077881150962622806 According to Kane, A24 has confirmed that the wallpaper takedowns were an outsourced system error due to removing camrips online. They are also apparently working rapidly to resolve any and all issues, Kane reiterating that from the beginning A24 has always been on the side of the community. He is 21 years old.
I'm the one at 0:58 and the original poster about this on Twitter, and I wanted to say that things have gotten even worse as someone's decently popular Backrooms fan account got terminated very shortly after they spoke out about this situation with A24. Not to mention, I went entirely uncredited for the wallpaper I supplied for the film (despite A24 going on to sell a traced copy of my wallpaper scan on their online store), but that's just adding fuel to the fire.
Kane Parsons thinks he’s negotiating with A24’s legal department, but we all know the Older Gentleman is the one actually draft-signing the DMCA takedowns from inside the walls
I think SCP is better suited to a "monster-of-the-week" TV show than a movie.
Billion Dollar Companies try and not be horrible Challenge: Impossible
Copyrighting the backrooms is like trying to copyright the concept of zombie it’s just a concept in media/culture
Did you know Kane Parsons is in fact only 12 years old?
It's the fault of The Older Gentleman
