Here in East Tennessee, we have the black bears, People have no fear and will try to take selfies, even pet them. The bears roam around in the towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. Of course they are in the National Park throughout the entire year. We have had them come and lie down in our yard.

I live in “suburbia” and one morning as I was getting my 4 children ready for school, my 6 year old daughter started yelling “moose, moose”. I looked out in our deck and there was in fact a moose just hanging out there! The bus stop was in front of my house and about 20 children would be gathering there in the next 15-20 minutes. A quick call to the police and they came out - not knowing what to do. The officer turned on his siren and that scared the moose and off it went into the woods - again, I live in suburbs of Boston not a very wooded area. All the kids were thrilled to see the moose. Lots of stories that day!
