Stacy you have a 99.97% success rate, not a .03% failure rate. As the old song goes accentuate the positive eliminate the negative. Well if course I know where Cookville is, LJMJ is from there!! Keep the good stuff coming guys.
I did that last year after 25 years of RVing. We were shopping about 45 minutes away. We arrived back at camp 15 minutes after checkout. We broke down and pulled out in 10 minutes. We just pulled over to the day use area and made sure everything was squared away before hitting the road. Very stressful. I mistook the checkout day as our last night stay. Thanks for sharing your experience. Love your videos.
It's so enjoyable to watch your vids, and I absolutely love that you are a perfect example of not getting your panties in a wad if you get "corrected" in the comments! People get so offended at everything these days, and it's ridiculous. You are proof that it literally doesn't matter what people say! Just do you and be happy!!! Everyone, take that advice. 😉👏 Love the episode. ❤
After just 2 years on the road, we showed up a day early. I make so many reservations, we travel so fast, that i never even opened the confirmation email. Luckily they had a site for us that matched our dates. They were so kind about it.
I’ve been full-time 10 years and yes that happened to me one time when I was at an army Corps of Engineers Campground in Texas. The camp Host came to my campsite while I was sitting with my feet up and relaxing, and said you were supposed to be out of here at noon, and I said what! Lucky for me. No one was coming into the site that night so I was able to extend. It is an awful feeling.
Christie did the same at a COE in the Tetons. We realized it the day before we had to leave. We had four more days to stay there but she left a day out in the middle of a week stay. So she did have a great idea. "Ask one of the young people working the campground where a place close that we can stay one night". They suggested a place a few miles down the road. I believe it may have had six to eight sites. We loved it so much that we canceled the first campground and stayed there the entire remaining part of our trip. A mistake that ended being a blessing. Every evening we had a dow come through our campsite. We were next to a lake. It was beautiful.
Sure. Arrived a day early at lower pines in Yosemite after driving from San Fran (Mill Valley area) thinking we were right. Welp, we weren’t. 😂 The host was incredibly nice, and let us set up for the night in their host site ‘backyard.’ So very nice. So we helped the next day with site cleaning as a thank you.
BMS treatment. 🤭 Funniest mattress marketing spot EVER! 😁😄😆🤣😂😅
I did it once while camping at Ft DeSoto! All chilled out and hanging around the campsite when the ranger came up and asked if we planned to pull out soon as someone was coming into this site! We packed up with our little grandson and were out within 35 minutes. Never again, I hope! Thankful for Harvest Hosts though! They have saved us in a pinch or two! And Phil, what did we learn about throwing glass bottles?? Hmmm?
We have stayed at that HH twice. Really nice.
What was your big hurry? You missed Cummins Falls, Cumberland Caverns, Burgess Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Granville, Dale Hollow, Defeated Creek, Salt Lick, our wonderful little town of Gainesboro, Standing Stone and a whole lot more. We love Delmonico. Slow down you move too fast. You're retired, relax a little. I opened my door this morning and there were 3 deer. And not only that, there were a bunch more wineries around here you could have gone to while you were here. Cookeville has a couple of really nice parks and bike riding trails, in the summer you can take a blanket and go sit in the park and watch a movie. You should really take in a festival at Granville, take in the quilt shop and take in a meal on Saturday night at the historic Sutton Store and stay for the radio show that airs every Saturday night.
We stayed at that HH. Its was one of our first HH. Nice stop! And at the Two Rivers. Hubby loved sitting by the river. Both were on the same trip
I didn’t realize the month we were travelling in had 31 days. It wasn’t while travelling in our RV but we were in Scotland. Luckily no one had booked the room for the following night so we were able to stay there an additional night.
Nice fix
Tennessee is beautiful, no matter which town you are in. THANKS for sharing 'real' days of your life on the road.
Love the drone footage!!!❤❤❤❤
Cook-Ville is where Marissa and Nate from Less Junk and More Journey is from! I have had some beautiful experiences from mistakes or change of plans in my life!
I had a calendar gap my 2nd year during the peak summer season in the UP of Michigan. No Harvest host availability or state park openings- mentioned it to a local and they recommended the casino in Christmas MI- saved my behind!! I was so grateful for a safe, level place to park for 2 nights
We just took a trip to visit our granddaughter from California to Illinois and stayed at a Harvest Hosts every single night! We had a great time meeting so many great hosts along the way. FUN! Highly recommend ❤
This going to sound super strange- grab a piece of bread and use it as a broom when you shatter glass- it will scoop up more than the vacuum! I shattered a patio table top and my friend who does housekeeping recommended that- worked!!!
