The funniest part of the airport matching the Toronto Pearson airport is that the Toronto Pearson airport is located in the Greater Toronto Area or as it's referred to here in Canada, The GTA.

17:20 we do put beacon lights onto mountains for aircraft navigation, at least around airports that are flanked by mountains. Same reason there are those red balls on power lines. But the beacons usually flash red light, instead of emitting a solid white light. Still though, very much a real equipment. Check out chapter 2, section 2 of the FAA's AIM (Air Navigation and Obstruction Lighting).
