The problem is that the people who are making the laws. DO NOT have the field experience. It would be like a random civilian watching 1 or 2 videos on brain surgery, and then dictating how it's done to a medical professional. Just like with a massive proportion of all "law makers" They are sheltered and clueless
I seen an older modified Hilux driving passed me today with a red sticker on the front window. I knew straight away a cop had his day with him.
Our problem is useless politicians Australia 🇦🇺 wide , we should have national rego and licensing it's fucking ridiculous
Problem is the government couldn’t give any less of a shit, they’ll keep ruining it more and more every year until it’s illegal to have anything other than a bone stock vehicle
Well explain to me how a cruiser or patrol engineered for 4” lift and 35” tyres is more dangerous than a 2500 series dodge ram? Cause speaking to an engineer local to Brisbane explain to me cause it’s technically a truck I could put 6” lift and 40” tyres on a ram 2500 with no engineering required what so ever. That goes for all the big American style trucks f250, dodge 2500 or the big gmc
Definitely 💯 I agree and thanks for the video
If you can drive a car safely on road on 40inch tyers you should be able to drive it
Safety isnt really the issue. Revenue is the issue. Most mods (done correctly) make a vehicle safer than beforehand. Agree we definitely need a national standard!
We should make a restrictions about car restrictions
In Texas there are so many lifted trucks on big tires and the cops will give you a compliment and say how cool it is and go about their day lol I love texas
As long as its signed off by an engineer it should be allowed but no engineer will never do that on a DIY
Sorry to hear that. I live in the United States and I am actually putting a 4 inch lift and 37 inch tires on my jeep as we speak and it’s my daily driver. I hate to hear your restrictions down there, but we have an apartment over our garage if you want to move here you’re welcome to it. lol. Love your channel keep up the great work.
Yeah, it's pretty crazy some of your laws there no doubt.. the biggest tires i've had were 40" Groundhogs on my 78' chevy blazer K5... But Shawno and you guys are awesome! Love watching your videos from Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸
40 inches complete overkill
Agreed
Our gov is friggin insane - this isnt safety like they say is revenue
"Australia has some pretty tight rules" ... Yeah, if you compare to the US maybe. But to the rest of the world, woww the thing we can do here ! I agree that it should be unified nationally. But man I am having a blast modifying my cars since I got here ~4 years ago. My daily is a lowered sports car, wider tires, different size rims. I have a lifted ute on 32 with quite a few mods on it as well... You wouldn't even consider those "heavily modified here"... Yet they'd be completely illegal in Europe. And by far ! Sure, as enthusiasts, we always want more, but I think the priority should be uniformity and clarity "moar lift abd biggy tires"
If everyone had 40s, my work ute couldn't hit the tracks on the weekend because of the ruts!
Restrictions on removing restrictions. Fk the EGR, their building data centres flat out that far offset the engine killing limitations.
Such a bummer guys, I really feel for ya. Nanny states and gov't corruption make freedom really illogically difficult. Good Luck and Godspeed. Cheers.
