Find Fox Farm Soil near you!: https://foxfarm.com/find-a-dealer/ Container gardening will always have a spot in my garden! I love having the containers on my patio and the ability to throw together a quick container to expand my garden when needed. In this video I'll show you my current containers before adding in a BUNCH of new pots. I planted tomatoes, peppers, dahlias, a lemon tree, and even repot a giant blueberry! In the EU and UK peat based composts are now pretty much banned for non commercial growers due to degradation of peat bogs causing large co2 emissions, destruction of natural habitat and flooding. It’s taken about 15 years for suppliers to reduce down the peat and not perfect but I’d always check the sustainability of any peat in composts.

Yes please! I would like to see how you trellis the grow bad tomatoes!!! I like Fox Farm soil but it is just too darn expensive… I have a really hard time forking over at least twice as much for a bag of their soil… I by no means buy the least expensive soil but dang their soil is a lot… I really enjoy your videos BTW! 😊

my entire garden will be in containers for the first time this year, looking forward to the trellis video for the tomato's, since I'm not sure how to trellis indeterminate ones in containers.

a tip for using half barrels, is put a couple fist sized rocks in the bottom, over the drainage holes, it ensures excellent drainage, I did that for my Meyer Lemon tree, and while I'm having issues with that tree, it's definitely not from water drainage lol.

me thinking about the soil showdown where FoxFarm potting mixes were 6th and 7th out of 14 contenders.

I've always used miracle grow garden soil with perlite mixed in, in my containers and plants grow great.

I've got about 36 grow bags going now, with a 45 gallon bag almost ready for sweet potatoes and a 100 gallon bag that will be for perennial flowers. I've got a bunch of things, including 4 butterfly bushes, growing in fake half wine barrels made of resin.

I'm sure others have said it but Labyrinth dahlias are dinner plate, tall dahlias so that pot is tiny.

Great video! I appreciate how you demonstrate everything — from the beginning of pot & soil selection through to mulching. A master class! I’m a bit more of a “tickle the roots apart” kind of repotter. I like those roots reaching out on Day1. Happy Frog is lucky to have you. GREAT advert with all that abundant garden around you! Thank you for explaining the difference in the soils. Happy Growing! And YES PLEASE on a trellis video!

Oooh, I got some of those big Costco containers too. Thanks for showing how you used them. I was specifically wondering how much soil was needed.

Please show your concrete trellis solution. It would be very helpful for my grow bag gardening. I used tomato cages last year, but would be nice to use a different setup.

Thank you so much, Jacques! You are the best teacher! The information always needs to be received, reminded of and memorized! I’ve always had gardens and rehab plants from my interior accounts. The Soil is so important! Nitrogen for lemon trees, got it 😊
