Clubs are where Springboks go to stay fit between tests.

Its the same for me, when I put on my Springbok shirt, I can consume brandy and coke like crazy

I've watched Welsh players play in various incarnations of the URC over decades, and it was the same scenario. Club, almost invisible. Put on the Welsh shirts and they became furious beasts of pace, beauty and never-ending physicality. Some players really do save their best for International. Just as it should be.

It's almost like they get something extra when playing for South Africa

I don't think it's anything unique that players grow in passion and get a psychological boost for their respective national sides. It boils down to coach, staff, system.

Every player should play harder and better for something theyve supported their whole lives.

I was just about to say that I think its the jersey, then Big Jim took the words out of my mouth. Like Clark Kent to superman once the suit goes on. The green and gold jersey carries a higher purpose and responsibility

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I don't understand how our clubs under perform against North teams but absolutely dominate when they get together in Bok colours 😅🤦

That is exactly why there is such a leap from club competition to internationals. It's also why some don't cut it at test level. They can't make that step.

Our country is so divided with racism politics etc the only time our country feels united is when these guy's play and i think they know it.
