Doesn't matter how much your dog hates getting their nails trimmed. Just do it, the dog'll get over it
I can see this reinforcing the bad habit of scratching on doors. Hope you like repainting frequently or even buying new doors.
I feel like some dogs would use their actual paws and just scrape them instead of the nails
now my dog knows scratching gives him treats

POV: you hate when a company sponsor trys to make a video where they tell you to buy their product even tho its glorified sand paper
So, how you actually get a dog to accept a nail trim. Start by handling their feet. If they pull away give them a little "bite" with your hand. Basically, grab them just roughly enough so they get the message to stop. Then go right back to what you where doing. This is how a momma dog teaches her puppies to behave. Treat randomly when they are behaving well. This also works with cats. The result is a pet that will relax and enjoy being groomed. Once they are calm without nail trim you can add the nail trim. This can also take a few weeks to a few months and is easer to start with puppies. The younger the better. Also worked out well with a cat that was about 9 months and anti-social when I got him. It is much better to teach a dog what you want it to do rather than trying to manager their bad behavior or avoid doing things they don't like.
If only my dog really cared about those treats
ok now what abt the back legs
''create the problem, sell the solution''
I used to throw a ball for the dog on a concrete path and when he ran after it his nails never needed trimming ever again
FYI, you can also make this yourself at home very easily for less money with a little bit of parts from Home Depot
Bruh, the sandpaper is gonna hurt more than just cutting their nails, cause the sandpaper is scratching their paws
To the guy who asked about the back legs, (I’m banned from replying), turn it upside down.
To everyone saying "just trim their nails even if they dont like it." I once had a dog who got banned from several pet stores because when I brought him in for grooming, he wouldnt settle down. It didnt matter if they had treats, if they used peanut butter, etc. He didnt maul, but he would absolutely fight you if you so much as touched his paws. I had to resort to bringing him to a vet where thet actually gave him a mild sedative, had two vet techs hold him down, and trim his nails. I hated it because there was nothing I could do to calm him down. But he needed to have his nails trimmed. I tried the walking method, but didnt see any huge improvement. He was an amazing dog, but I always figured his previous owner must've created a bad experience around grooming, and I was never able to train it out of him.
My dog deadass after we trimmed them the first time started bitting her own nails down with sucked because she would keep them short enough we couldn’t file them or anything even though they were pointy af.
Grinds their pads off too genius
100 step-guide on how to drink water: 1. Locate a safe, potable water source. 2. Select an appropriate drinking vessel, such as a glass, mug, or reusable bottle. 3. Wash the vessel with soap and water if it is dirty. 4. Rinse the vessel thoroughly to remove soap residue. 5. Place the vessel on a flat, stable surface. 6. Approach your water dispenser (e.g., tap, pitcher, or refrigerator). 7. Ensure the water dispenser is clean and operational. 8. Position the vessel directly beneath the water source. 9. Activate the dispenser (e.g., turn on the tap or press the dispenser lever). 10. Allow the water to flow into the vessel. 11. Observe the water level as it rises inside the vessel. 12. Stop the flow of water before the vessel overflows. 13. Remove the vessel from the water source. 14. Place the vessel back on a flat, stable surface. 15. Inspect the water for any visible impurities or debris. 16. If impurities are present, discard the water and restart the process. 17. Add ice cubes if you prefer cold water. 18. Stir the ice cubes to cool the water evenly. 19. Optionally, add a slice of lemon or cucumber for flavor. 20. Allow any additives to settle. 21. Select a clean straw if you prefer to use one. 22. Insert the straw into the vessel. 23. Ensure the straw is standing upright. 24. If using a bottle, locate the cap. 25. Twist the cap counterclockwise to loosen it. 26. Remove the cap entirely. 27. Place the cap on a clean, secure surface. 28. Inspect the bottle opening for any dirt. 29. Clean the bottle opening if necessary. 30. Locate a comfortable, seated, or standing position. 31. Ensure your seating surface is stable. 32. Adjust your posture to sit up straight. 33. Uncross your legs to promote blood circulation. 34. Relax your shoulders and neck muscles. 35. Position your feet flat on the floor. 36. Look straight ahead. 37. Clear your mouth of any food particles. 38. Chew and swallow any existing food in your mouth. 39. Take a slow, deep breath. 40. Exhale slowly to calm your nervous system. 41. Focus your attention on the task of drinking. 42. Ensure your hands are clean. 43. Reach out toward the vessel. 44. Grip the vessel firmly but gently. 45. Wrap your dominant hand around the body of the glass. 46. If the vessel has a handle, slip your fingers through it. 47. Secure your grip to prevent slipping. 48. Lift the vessel vertically off the surface. 49. Bring the vessel close to your torso. 50. Maintain a stable grip on the vessel. 51. Bring the vessel to your face level. 52. Align the rim of the vessel with your lips. 53. Do not tilt the vessel yet. 54. Pause briefly to stabilize the vessel. 55. Open your mouth slightly. 56. Part your lips gently. 57. Press the rim of the vessel against your lower lip. 58. Tilt your head back slightly by extending your neck. 59. Tilt the vessel upward gently using your wrist and arm. 60. Allow the water to flow out of the vessel. 61. Let the water touch your lower lip. 62. Guide the water into your mouth. 63. Control the flow rate of the water. 64. Do not pour too much water at once to avoid choking. 65. Stop tilting the vessel if you feel overwhelmed. 66. Close your mouth around the rim as you stop the flow. 67. Swallow the water that has entered your mouth. 68. Allow the water to move from your mouth to your esophagus. 69. Continue breathing through your nose. 70. Tilt the vessel slightly higher if you want to drink more. 71. Observe the diminishing water level in the vessel. 72. Swallow each sip of water consciously. 73. Prevent the water from entering your windpipe to avoid coughing. 74. Relax your throat muscles to facilitate smooth swallowing. 75. Pause drinking briefly to take a breath if needed. 76. Hold the vessel securely during the pause. 77. Resume the upward tilt of the vessel. 78. Allow the final portion of water to enter your mouth. 79. Return the vessel to its upright position. 80. Move the vessel away from your face. 81. Lower the vessel to a comfortable height. 82. Swallow the last remaining drops in your mouth. 83. Close your lips completely. 84. Swallow one more time to clear your throat. 85. Place the vessel securely on the flat surface. 86. Release your grip on the vessel. 87. Check if any water spilled on your clothes. 88. Wipe your lips with a napkin or towel if necessary. 89. Ensure your mouth is free of excess moisture. 90. Return your head to a neutral, forward-facing position. 91. If using a bottle, pick up the cap. 92. Align the cap with the bottle opening. 93. Place the cap on the opening. 94. Twist the cap clockwise to tighten it securely. 95. Ensure the cap is sealed to prevent leaks. 96. Wash the vessel or place it in the dishwasher. 97. Clean the straw if one was used. 98. Return the vessel to its designated storage location. 99. Wipe down any water droplets from the table surface. 100. Dispose of the napkin in the trash. Thank me later 💅 (I am not a bot!)
