A bakery owner refuses to take any more Thanksgiving pie orders, until one longtime customer walks in. The difference is simple: she supported the shop for years, even during lockdown when nobody was showing up. This scene works because it shows one thing clearly, real loyalty gets remembered. Youβre two croissants a week at bestπππ emotional damage
Yes, I had a customer that I valued like this. He was an elderly man. Without fail, twice every year he would order flowers from me, for his wife's bday and their anniversary. Until one year he didn't show up, and I found out he passed away. So now I take flowers to he and his wife's grave every year on their anniversary. He is dearly missedβ€
"That's correct, we're not taking anymore pie orders from customers for Thanksgiving. Now if you'll excuse me, I was busy taking my friend's order."

It's the loyal customers who don't even expect special treatment. Those are the ones I love and the kind I always try to be
No new orders, she is a regular so they expect her to get her yearly quota
And this is why we love people like you ma'amβ€
That is the harshest bakery style insult ever.
Thats not just a customer, thats a friend supporting the business
As someone who works in hospitality (family business) can 100% confirm that some customers genuinely stop feeling like strangers and more like friends β€οΈ

Our customers that called once a year were the ones we had problems with. They complained about everything, expected preferential treatment & wanted didnβt want to pay for travel. Our good customers that we serviced everyday, paid bills on time and paid for travel-never bothered us.
This is the best... I worked service industry for most my life. I loved my regulars... And it is why I am loyal to my local small business.
This made me lol so fcking hard Idek why ππ
I detail cars. I did a client's mothers car two weeks ago and it started to rain as soon as i finished. She scheduled for the next Sunday to have her car done. When I arrived she was still asleep and did not answer the phone so I had to end up leaving. She contacted me later on to apologize and gave me gas money for my trip. I returned the following Sunday to do her car and also redid her mom's car for only $20 because she's a loyal customer as being consistent with giving me her business.
Just hand her the damn paper, problem solved! π
HAVE ANYONE ELSE NOTICED HER PURSE????
Ordering shit and paying for it and not pick it up is real shit for the neighborhood store
That 2 croissants a week line would have offended me so much.
I have great appreciation for loyalty. Good people, both the store owner and the girl ordering. Love it
