These were actually good questions. I was a service advisor and had many people come in after filling up with their cars on. It would throw a check engine for evap leak. You could just drive it 3 cycles on the highway and it usually went off.

Warming up depends, you should give every engine at least a minute to get the oil circulation well but also if itβs cold outside you definitely need to let it idle until it warms up. Putting high heat and high pressure on a frozen block can cause catastrophic damage.
