What happens a lot is I lose interest, then a year or two later I see it and ask "Why didn't I like it?" So I try it again, and since I'm already past the boring part I'm pretty close to when it gets good.
Nothing frustrates me more than when a game doesn't respect my time. I'm not slogging through 10 or 20 hours waiting for the game to get good.
Crimson Desert HAS to have one of the most "I really want to have fun now" early games ever
I always get a kick out of seeing the achievement completion when beating the starter area of a game (50-70%) and then seeing how many made it to the credits (~5%)
When I reached Act 3 in my first Baldur's Gate III playthrough, I felt overwhelmed by the sheer size of the new area and the massive number of NPC's and quests. I decided to take a break from it, and didn't pick it back up for over TWO YEARS. I finally finished it earlier this year and was incredibly happy with how my particular version of the story played out. I'm now about halfway through my second singleplayer playthrough while also working on three other cooperative playthroughs.
I never uninstalled Bloodborne, and never will. It has a permanent spot.
As an English football fan born in the 90s, that pronunciation of Gascoigne is wild 😂
Nioh was the game that made me realize that i no longer enjoyed souls-like games. My limited gaming time was better spent not being frustrated.
Many of us finished Red Faction Guerrilla, but before the steam edition or whatever the new remastered one was called got released
Mad max for me. I reinstalled it and completed it during the lockdown when i got nothing to play. It was a great game!
Many of these games are in bundles. You try it, it doesn't grab your attention, you uninstall. Not a big mystery.
Hi guys As someone who has more then 20 unplayed Steam games and a lot ( A LOT!) that I barely touched, here's my take on this: "Steam discounts are good for selling games but not for games to be played" My vicious cycle is: 1. I watch most of the videos that you guys and other creators make, and I really appreciate them. Which gets me excited about certain games 2. I wishlist games and wait for discounts while I play my library, when I have time! as I have some disposable income but am lacking in disposable time. 3. I buy the game on discount, but by the time I buy it, that initial excitement wears off, and when combining that with the lack of disposable time... The game ends up gathering dust in my game library.... 4. A new video, a new game that catches my interest, and the cycle repeats Am I the only one?
MGR;R was one of the best games i accidental tried in my teenager years
I think that sometimes people buy all these games in Steam sales (or whatever), install one, try it out for a bit, and then just move on to the next one and forget about it. It’s like Game Pass. You have so many options that you don't give games a fair chance before installing something else. There are just too many options.
I never completed the training stage for Hitman, but I’ve almost beaten the whole game. I think that’s what most people did. Going in blind makes the experience much more fun
Mixing Red Faction Guerilla with Just Cause would be a case of absolute epicness. someone needs to get on that.
I know its not on the list but I did this with red dead redemption 2. Came back and it ended up being one of my favourite games ever 😂
This is like when people tell me that I have to "watch through the first six episodes, then it gets good."
Dying Light 2 should be on this list too. It was good at the start, but it became amazing once you got the glider and got into the Central Loop
I am playing through the Metro Trilogy one after another, just finished Exodus' main story last night after 30 hrs. Currently playing through The Two Colonels dlc, and what amazing atmosphere and writing does it have. Probably will become my favourite dlc after Hearts of Stone
