You've reached the end
His first instinct was to get that lady away from harm. What a hero cop.
The massive adrenaline dump after getting shot in the face is insane. It got him just enough to get to cover and call backup. The human body is so indomitable
He took that bullet to the face like a beast. That's one tough cop
The way bro says "...just took a shot to the face" so non chalantly
Took a shot to the face and the first thing he does is directing her to a safer area before calling for help. Hero mentality
i appreciate that lady, staying calm instead of screaming and making things worse, and that cop is on another level
His wallet is the one that says "BAD MF" on it...
the fact he just took a bullet to the eye and he still made sure he got the other person to safety as well
Dude gotta be extremely trained/ Prolly shoulda made it clear that i was talking abt the shooter
His first response was to save her. That is a true hero. You cannot make this stuff up.
You left out the part where the officer who got shot was unarmed and couldn’t even defend himself. He was merely there to take a report. He did survive.
In April 2026, Zapata was taking a burglary report for a woman when a suspect suddenly opened fire with a pellet rifle. Shrapnel struck Zapata in the eye, but despite his injury he: * Immediately told the woman to get down and move to cover. * Escorted her to safety behind the house. * Radioed for backup, saying: “I need officers at my location. Just got… took a shot to the face.” * Continued protecting the woman until other officers arrived. Specialist Zapata is a 30-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and his actions were widely praised as heroic. The woman he protected later described him as “an angel.”
That's one awesome cop. And that lady helped him get inside and away from the shots. She's awesome too.
He wasn't even an officer, he was a volunteer.
All of us who are combat vets, could tell he was one of us. So calm, we never wanted anyone to hear in our voices how stressed we were. God bless ya brother and thanks for continuing to serve America and our amazing American people.
the shooter is going straight to hell.
Bro was so calm while being shot in the eye 😮
The cop, Edward Zapata, was actually a 30-year US marine veteran who was part of the civilian response unit and was unarmed. He was shot in the eye with a pellet gun—thus being able to survive and have the wherewithal to help the woman get to safety. After exchanging "gun"fire with the 39-year old assailant Angel Cantu, and a several hours long manhunt, he was later captured and charged with 3 counts of aggravated assault on public servant. He had prior convictions and went to prison in 2019 for 3 years for robbery where he injured the victim with a weed whacker.
That's a soldier!
Damn, I see the title, so I'm thinking, oh got shot in the chest or the arm or something, then I hear him say he's shot in the eye. Can't believe how calm he was, and how his focus was making sure he got the lady out of danger.
