Imagine if the Mona Lisa was burned and preserved as a digital only image, and after five years, the museum just deleted it because they didn’t wanna pay the license to host it. And not only did they delete it from their own server, they deleted it from every device, including personally owned ones. And any attempt to save or store the file, or even print it physically, was met with cease and desists.
Without physical media how will it all topple over and crush me to death? I wish Sony would consider what gamers _really_ want

It's one thing for CNN to comment on Sony's shenanigans, but when Scott makes a video on it... you KNOW they fumbled HARD.
Here's the thing about the "All Digital" PC. Yes. You can never get physical games on PC these days, BUT...the PC offers tools to **archive** a n y t h i n g. All but the most offensive DRM can and will be cracked, and most good companies don't bother trying! Every digital PC copy is going to be backed up on hundreds if not thousands of hard drives out there.
No reason both can't coexist. Except their greed and desire to control the market.

Sony’s claim about digital selling more than physical turned to be false as that list counted digital-only games like Fortnite and Overwatch. And that if you look at the actual percentage per game, all of them, specially the single player games, sold way WAY more physically.
I’ve never understood people who act like a digital-only future is inevitable or something we should strive for. It only benefits publishers because they get to set whatever price and permissions they want.
