Please guys before we dig right deep into this banger let's first appreciate the video quality of this movie,o swear its giving great story line as usual,Blessing Obasi is such an incredible movie producer, always short but sweet movies
This is such a feel-good movie. I love how authentic the story feels. Relationships aren’t perfect but with good communication, understanding, compromise, and above all, love, which is the umbrella that holds everything else together, a relationship can thrive and grow stronger. We should always remember that we are all humans. Most times, when faced with difficult circumstances, our human flaws like selfishness, secrecy and fear tend to surface. This was exactly the case with George and Hauwa, especially when their jobs were on the line and one of them had to go. I just love how they were able to navigate those real life challenges without giving up on each other; that alone speaks volumes about the love they share. Neither of them was perfect. They both had flaws and past experiences that tested their relationship, but they chose to communicate, understand each other, forgive and move forward together. For me, that was the most beautiful part of the story ❤️. Nice one and thumbs up to everyone👍, y’all delivered amazingly well.
George wasn’t even a bad person, he was just loving her the way she didn’t want to be loved. Why was her friend making him look like the villain omg.
But George isn't selfish like the way Hawa's friend portray him to be
This movie was thoughtfully written. Hauwa was definitely coming from a trauma-filled place; she didn't have an example of a man leading, as one should. And so, any help was seen as "you dont think im good enough" "i want my own thing" "i dont want to depend on you and be left in the lurch". Of course, i do believe women should have their own money, but a good man provides and should be given the opportunity to do so. Hauwa didn't want George to quit his job over hers, but it was a thing of trust. She didn't trust him with her affiars. She couldn't trust that her 'life'would be safe with him. George was well intentioned, i believe, throughout the film. Though he could have tapped into the emotional and not just always logical, he was also partnered with someone coming from a hurt place. It's important, outside of all the love love love, to know what invisible baggage that each person is bringing into a relationship. This helps to navigate situations, and even more how deep does it go and is it something you can manage before they turn you into a mad person.
Lovely movie 🎉but who else thinks that George wasn’t as selfish as Hauwa thought but Hauwa needed to heal from the trauma she had seeing what her mom went through 🤔
If there is anything I admire in this move it is how they act and communicate about issues even when they are not cool with eachother... the level of maturity is excellent

You ate your role and didn't left no crumbs 🔥 at all. You really nailed that character so well. The way you command the screen from beginning to end was on another level. Your facial expressions and body language was on point. You played that with so much maturity. You murder that MiMi character so well. You was the best Supporting Actress of that movie.
