Fun fact: this is real. They're called sound shadows and blind people adapt to hearing minute differences in the way sound is bouncing off objects around them. This is one of the reasons people who were born blind or have been blind for a long time are less likely to run into things, they're already attuned to noticing them, even if they're not consciously doing it. Also, literally anyone can learn to recognize them but it's hard for sighted people because we've never had to rely on sound in that way. Edit: Folks, sound shadows ≠ echo location. Also, people don't just become Daredevil when they lose their sight. I used the words "adapt" and "attuned" because you don't suddenly gain the ability to hear more pitches and lower decibel sounds, you just generally become more reliant on hearing (assuming you are hearing to begin with or still hearing) after losing vision and thus consciously recognize more sounds that you previously ignored. Sounds that 'slipped under the radar' so to say. Not to over explain but I'm very passionate about topics surrounding Disability awareness and if people are going to learn something new from a comment on a youtube short, it might as well be accurate information.

He's blind, not stupid. He would be able to hear them breathing and smell the sickening amount of different deodorants, perfumes and other odours coming off their bodies.

Blind people are not 100% blind usually, some have as little as 10% of their vision to the point of just seeing blobs or shapes. After living with it I imagine he learned to count people shaped blobs.
