Another great tip: If you know the paint color and the brand, you can Google the undertones of that specific paint. It makes choosing coordinating colors so much easier.

You have added thousands of dollars in equity in your home. 1- by doing all the work yourself. 2- by fixing all the damaged areas to your deck, fence, garage door frame, doorframe, etc…. MaCenna always does really quality work 👌. She is so inspiring to me 🤩
No discussion of color choice is complete without talking about the direction the natural light that comes from into the space, and the color "temperature" of the artificial light sources. Another factor is adjacent spaces within the same view.

If it weren't for the Behr color-picker tool on their website (with "more cool" or "more warm" buttons on every color family), I would screw up the Tone every time, and I have come to learn how important that is! I have 100 year old Red Oak floors in my house that are SO WARM ORANGE, I needed a cool-tone on the walls to balance it out. I'm interested to try this with a white sheet of paper IRL!
Oh my gosh MaCenna I’ve been an undertone girl for years, most people just don’t get that. Just recently I’ve been studying undertone so that I can help my clients (I stage homes) when I do a 1 day makeover for them in their homes.
