Of course drinking culture has been a big thing in Ireland for a long time and it still plays quite a big part and of course you can go to temple bar and places like that to find epicentres of boozing. But in reality alcohol consumption in Ireland has lowered to the EU average and many many pubs and clubs have closed in the last 20 years across the country.
