Oh Hannah! What a truly stunning and magical house and gardens and orchard! So special and unspoilt and unique which is such a rare thing to find. I really hope you can take your time and put a lot of care and thought into sensitively doing any work needed, so that you keep it's history, atmosphere and unique historic features. And that garden! It looks like it has wonderful structure and still has the evergreen topiary that could be easily clipped and restored. These features will mean the garden has bones and will look so magical in all seasons. My mum said you need to live with a house and garden for a while and think about things a lot before you make any radical changes. That way you keep and create magic and a create a place that feels like a real home. She was the most wonderful gardener and interior designer. So glad you had such a wonderful summer in so many beautiful places.
