Norway on the back of a very strong 2nd half probably deserved to win within 90 minutes, but a ball parrying error by the keeper lost the game for them just like it did for Belgium. Haaland will forever regret pushing Anderson and cablegate is a real thing now. The overturned penalty was correct because Spence initiated the contact by placing his leg across and then effectively hooking his leg around Bobb's leg. Edit: My response to DarkRoomAmbience mysteriously keeps on getting deleted, so I'll include it in this opening comment: The ball visibly deflects quite radically off the cable and plunges down. There were a number of players who immediately appealed for it even before the ball landed. Sometimes technology fails as was clearly the case here. VAR should have trusted their eyes more and disallowed the goal. Eyes first, technology second.

Congratulations, England. Bellingham and Kane joint top scorers for England with 6 goals each so far. Norway, thanks for providing the best rowing chant. Haaland, is one of the most likeable footballers. Has a sense of humour and pretty down to earth. Norway, you'll be missed. It's been a great quarter final match performance. Hope to see you in 2030. P.S.: It's great being a neutral fan. I like them both.

It’s official - i genuinely don’t understand the rules anymore. Wasn’t the spence ‘foul’ in the box a similar situation to the penalty given against kane in the mexico game, in that the mexican player stuck his leg in front from behind kane? And that foul against Kane in this game that wasn’t given, and norway went onto score, wasn’t that similar to Egypt v Argentina and the egypt goal was disallowed and the play was brought back to the egypt tackle? Admittedly im old now, 60+, and not played the game for a long time, and have not kept up with all the changes and developments, and im not criticising refs, cos that is an extraordinarily difficult job, and games move so fast, and things are made tougher when you have one game after another in a tournament like this, cos the consistency or otherwise can be immediately compared and judged, but with the examples from this game and others in other games, it does feel inconsistent? Or maybe im old and too slow to keep up, which is a real possibility 😊 and fyi, i had no skin in this game. Was kinda cheering for both teams.

Where was snicko when the ball hit the spidercam cable which led to England's first goal?
First goal is a robbery. It hits the spider cam off a goal kick, which is counted as interference which in IFAB laws should restart play with a drop ball. What happened to the hair detecting sensors in the ball?
