the slop is not available to 99% of the community
As a Pokémon GO player, I'm so damn pissed. I live in the buttfuck middle of south Texas and had no idea that this was something that happened. How the actual fuck is the Pokémon company creating their own 1%.
"Let's give a Hundo Mewtwo to all the influencers and celebrities that already get free tickets and perks and already have multiple 100% shinies of every Legendary"
I just hate this whole trend of creators getting absolutely everything free in games nowadays, while they are usually the ones who need that the least.
They should Pokemon-Go-to-the-polls and vote with their wallets.
Its amazing how quickly I thought "Oh this is pretty cool," to "Oh, for fuck sake."
You know, all they had to do was make it something like, "If the attendees beat Mewtwo, all players receive a special Mewtwo!", and just hand out the Mewtwo after the event. You can cheer for your favorite personality/creator, its Free publicity, free hype, everyone gets a W and an awesome Mewtwo after the event is over. Instead they did this, what a disaster, who the hell is in charge of their PR/Event department? Find someone with a brain.
The slop is printed on paper cards with artificial rarity
You can tell even Nintendo has stopped interacting with Pokemon GO at this point
Pokemon is the embodiment of FOMO. they wouldnt even give Ash his Pikachu if he was real at this rate
A company in 2026 is out of touch? Yeah, and grass is green.
All of the slop is equal but some of the slop is more equal than others.
Pokemon is the epitome of FOMO. They would not even give Ash his Pikachu if he was genuine at this rate
Let's not forget that Niantic sold pokemon go data to train AI for Military Drones. This is nothing.
And people wonder why so many kids these days want to grow up to be "influences". Because if they managed to get a little clout, even through dirty means, they are showered with opportunities that normal people don't get. They're engineering elitism in every category on a global scale artificially for profit. Except of course when a stunt backfires like this one.
1:38 dolan i think you blurred it late
10 year anniversary? Still can't believe we didn't Pokemon Go to the polls like we were supposed to in 2016
My dad was working in New York when this was happening. We literally played together in 2016 when i was 10 we made memories through Pokemon Go. We would have definitely gone together if they didnt make it "invite only" fuck niantic and scopely bro
2:32 that’s a pretty cool Mewtwo indeed
As someone who does play Pokémon GO on the regular, I can partially understand why they did this. Imagine having 5,000-10,000 people all crowding around a large area and causing a disturbance in such a major scale that it becomes unmanageable. But I hope that they end up doing something like this in the future for a more general public and easily vetted number of people can join.
