Practicing this 2 weeks on the course I'd like to think he can.
Confirmation that the problem is not the hot golf ball. Look at official USGA stats. And find 20 years ago pros hit 34 degree irons roughly the same distance as they do today. Driver specs introduced in 2003 allowed drivers to balloon to 460cc from 200cc used for decades.

Iโve seen HUNDREDS of Professional golfers drive a par 4 green. In fact at our golf club, the par four 18th hole is 285 metres or 312 yards, and some really good amateurs drive it with a 3 wood, or downwind with a 2 iron. Nothing extraordinary that Rory does the same thing here!

During the Masters they kept showing a pub in Ireland where Rory is from. It was full of well behaved young men watching the tourney.
