Maturing is realizing that getting your period dosent make you better, it hurts and it’s apart of life so enjoy time without it, just because your friends got it first dosnt make them cooler but it’s best to support each other when you do have it

God! It makes me cry when I watched that part. I was a grower grower. My mother humiliated me for that. Never taught me what correct size to get. Acted disgusted my breast were large. So I got sizes too small and was made fun of in school. Which caused my breast to not grow with proper support. I wish I had a mother like hers. 😢😢😢😢😢 She also said I was nasty and dirty when my time came and never properly taught me how to manage it. I still have issues to this day with it.😢😢😢😢😢😢

This is why children need to be educated about periods because we always wanted to get our period until we realize it hurts like hell

I got my first period at a sleep over and all the girls treated me like a pain and a bother the whole time. The mom didn't want to give me anything and when I called my mom to get me the first thing she said was "well if you didn't feel well you shouldn't have gone" I was 11.. I didn't know what I was feeling. I'm glad my life isn't like that anymore.

I hated periods the moment I got mine. I was literally crying at the doctor telling her I don’t want a period. It’s been 6 years since then. Things haven’t changed. It still feels like it’s wrong and shouldn’t be part of my body. I’m on the pill now due to endometriosis as well so maybe that’s why it felt so wrong from the start

I remember when I got my first period I was terrified because I didn't know what was wrong with me and it wasn't red but brown since I didn't know about old blood so I kept it as a secret until I told my mom and she scolded me that she told me what a period before but she never really explained it that well that I didn't know what was dried blood, cramps, or the right pads.

It's really a lose-lose situation as a girl growing up. You're stick thin with no curves and you feel insecure and wish every day you got curves. Then I grew up with a curvy figure, I was the first girl in my class to wear a bra. I was also the youngest in my class. I wanted them smaller because I got creeped on a lot, boys would grab me at school and they did nothing about it. It sucks either way.

My older sister played this movie when i got my first period. I am so glad she showed it to me, because it made me more comfortable with myself. At first, i felt a little bit scared, but really prepared, and this movie made me feel better by showing me that it's fine to be scared about my period. Rare moment where i really REALLY appreciated my sister
