Fleig of Company A, US Army’s 707th Tank Battalion, leads a platoon of M4A3 Shermans up a treacherous mud trail in the middle of the Hürtgen Forest. He’s been sent on a critical mission, through the quagmire of the deep woodlands, to reinforce the exhausted American GIs of the 28th ‘Bloody Bucket’ Division who are desperately holding the village of Kommerscheidt against a German onslaught. In a brutal four-day battle against an entire Panzer division, Fleig faces off against the mighty Panthers and Panzer IVs, as well as endless waves of German infantry and artillery fire.
