Almost all of the Spamton equiptment, Dealmaker, Frayed Bowtie, True Tie and the Mannequin give resistance against Cat elemental damage, highly implying that even if Spamton wasn't hiding/ changing his appearance to avoid friend/friends he was almost definitely wary of them
I am sure some people will think that my take on the situation is reasonable, but believe it or not I’ve seen a TON of people disagreeing since yesterday. For example - some think that all the Friend cats combine into the individual who sends them out AKA Mike. I… think that’s awfully convoluted lol, but as always - these are just my opinions, and I’m sure some will disagree. Especially with how a lot of people think this is Dess backstory, and there’s that one snes game where the characters follow the tail, and it looks like friend actually played a role in Dess’s disappearance, but I just have a hard time saying some of the extreme things we are, because I feel like it puts Dess/Knight in a very small box, IYKWIM.

3:30 I think that the someone Pink is talking about could also be ERAM, as while Gaster is presumably the one broadly in charge of all the FRIENDs, ERAM is so far the only one shown to actually have a group that they sic on us like hunting animals.
Although i think its ERAM the person that owns the cats not gaster, in its battle it literally summons 5 friends (and 5 cats can definitely be considered as a pack) And uses egg bombs And ERAM definitely has gaster level knowledge if you belive its the narrator in the how long did it take her to smile arg (which is very probable)
Before I finish watching, I realized something. Pink's body says there was a person with a bunch of hunting cats. We've only ever seen Friend alone everywhere but during the ERAM fight, where we have to defend against multiple Friends. I think instead of assigning Gaster as the default answer to who the owner of the cats is its better to say whoever ERAM is is meant to be a parallel to whoever owns the cats. Either Gaster is a parallel to ERAM for the sword route, or the owner of the cats is a separate character from Gaster
