The funny thing is, he used to celebrate 20-30 metres away from the finish line and he still set records… we never truly experienced his absolute best.

This run was possibly under 9.50 if he didn't decide to celebrate early

He will get beat one day (not by much, especially on the 200m) but It’s highly unlikely anyone will stand as tall as him in their given era. The way he was gapping the next fastest people in the world was almost disrespectful and his running style made it look like he weren’t even trying with his gazelle ahh strides

Man this guy is a real one. If there is anybody to beat his records, they need to be one special person

He was young to retire but also, he did it at a good time before injuries starts to become a massive issue

World record in both sprints that still stand 17 years later. Triple gold medal in both sprints across 3 Olympics. This man had nothing left to prove. The fastest man that ever lived. His records won't be beaten for a long long time

The way bolt looked when he ran, he never looked like he gave 100%. He made it look effortless

Even if someone did break his records and that in itself is saying something....the cultural impact that Bolt made on the whole world will never be topped U know he is the best ever when people use him as a metaphor when someone does something unbelievably fast

Quit when you are on top, not when you are so broken that you can not do it anymore.

It was too easy for him. It was the lack of competition that made him retire. He clowned everyone that tried❤

Every single record that has ever been broken, has that in common... Eventually they all get broken.

People don't realise just how much motivation and obsession is required to be olympic level. Living at that level constantly would be draining, especially after you've already achieved everything you wanted.
