In my early 20s I went to jail for a fight. My bail was a couple hundred bucks. Had a great conversation with one of the guards, stories about life and its challenges. By the end of the conversation, he said to me "everyone deserves another chance". An hour later my bail was posted and I was set free... come to find out that guard paid my bail. I won't ever forget it.

i donβt understand why people are so cruel. huge respect to the cops for bailing him out. but the system is seriously flawed, the βjusticeβ system clearly couldnβt give two shits about this guy struggling, but iβm glad to see that there is still some real sympathy left in people.

Do you Americans realize how awful your criminal justice system really is? Obviously there are no public safety concerns with this man getting bail, but he would have had his liberty taken away because heβs poor. Absolutely disgraceful.

Listen Im not rich by any means but if a helpless elderly man with tears in his eyes pleaded for help I would have to help out. That look on his face was heartbreaking
