Back when my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Phuket, we happened to see her performing at a market. I remember thinking, "This kid is going to go so far." When I got back to Taiwan, I couldn't stop talking about her with my friends in the music scene. Seeing her on Got Talent was deeply moving—it was such a brilliant and infectious performance. I’ve lived in Phuket for 19 years and have seen Nene perform so many times since she was a young girl. She’s the biggest draw at Naka Market. I love this for her and her very supportive father - she’s so talented and absolutely shreds the guitar. This audition is all over social media and the entire island is proud - go, Nene, go! ❤

Nene plays a 1978/1979 Ibanez Musician Series guitar …. My guitar teacher in the late 70’s had one along with numerous other guitars but he always told me how this series is about the best quality guitar ever made….. as a result I ended up owning 3 of them myself and they are all mint condition….. I first stumbled upon Nene via YouTube more than a year ago amongst the millions of YouTube videos out there when I saw she was holding this exact guitar she used on AGT…. I immediately asked myself who is this kid holding my guitar so I watched the video of her jamming Deep Purple Highway Star…. She absolutely smoked it and I’ve been a fan ever since…. When I saw the previews for AGT season 21 I saw that guitar for a split second and realized she made it to AGT…. I’ve been waiting for her slot on the show and was so touched everyone there heard the talent I’ve heard for a while…. I agree with some on these posts that Zombie was but a tease as the best from her is yet to come…. Wow Nene can’t believe you shred so well on the old school rock I grew up on AND play a guitar that most don’t realize how good a guitar it is….. such a timeless old soul in a 16 year old body…… your performance was inspiring….. thanks for making me smile hard in my older age and thanks for keeping it all alive 😎
