In this detailed tech breakdown, Oliver goes inside the Anvil Next engine, showing you the key systems in action via developer visualisation, how they're radically revamped over the original, before providing the outlook on the PS5 game. We'll be looking at all versions in our next video with PC optimised settings to follow. this is why its important a lot of studios use their own proprietary engine
6:10 Hearing that ID Software inspired Resynced's amazing lighting just pisses me off even more that Xbox gutted them.
The raytracing at 1/16 does look very good for what its working with. Its nice to see another company follow id for performant rtx
Perfect summer game.
Wild seeing how good this looked back then. Even by today’s standards
Love it when a couple of minutes after the release of a 14 minute video people in the comments already formed their opinions.
Gonna wait for a hefty sale before I scoop up this license.
I know a lot of people root against Ubisoft, but I'm glad to see them get a W. We need more studio successes & less bad news in the industry.
Nice, think ill order the physical disc version
Man, 360/PS3-era (and before) were truly gold. Those were the times.
I’m surprised the water section didn’t get more love
I remember the PC version of the original game with its upgraded water tech. It was quite nice and still holds up!
3:23 They fixed the teeth. I couldn't stand how glowy full white they were in the original.
Looking forward to the PC review!
While the original overall still looks surprisingly good today, the difference on the faces is night and day.
Its gorgeous
Buying it physically tomorrow. We have to support physical games if we want them to be around.
I can't agree. I would say that the original aged very well!
I wish they would do this for Assassin’s Creed 3. That’s my personal favorite.
Am I crazy for thinking the colors in the original look better? They are muted but feel more realistic instead of making everything oversaturated.
