Built in the latest iteration of the Ubisoft Anvil engine,[4] the remake emphasizes a solo adventure and character-driven experience rather than role-playing elements. It retains the original game's overall world structure while featuring rebuilt character models and environments, along with changes to combat, stealth, parkour, and naval gameplay. Changes to movement and mission design include a manual crouch option, and revised tailing and eavesdropping missions in which detection no longer automatically results in failure, though the ability to replay older missions has been removed entirely. Combat was revised around more precise parries and shorter combo chains, but swords remain the primary means of combat, as the Hidden Blade is no longer usable in combat outside of stealth and contextual kills. Other features include recruitable officers for the Jackdaw, expanded underwater exploration, extra ship customization options, dynamic weather effects that influence ship handling, additional story content involving figures such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, and new sea shanties. ~ Wikipedia Description ----------------------------------------------------------------- ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ ----------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe and I'll be your bestest friend! #

Who wants to tell Luke that Launch is still a day away.
Hearing that the worst part of the game is modern ubisoft added quests doesn’t give me much confidence for any new AC game
Tbf the majority of the OGs map didn't have load screens, either. It was just the major cities/locations (Kingston, Havana, etc). Small villages, fishing settlements, forts, and warehouses were seamless from the open world. Kind of impressive for the 360 era.
This is what Skull and Bones was supposed to be.
TLDW: Resynced is awesome and modernizes the classic thoroughly with some really amazing tech. However, it's not perfect. The melee combat is pretty simple, the new content is pretty obviously not original and most of it is not that interesting, and the Ubisoft classic in-game store is still here. But overall, I've been having a BLAST and I plan on playing a lot more as I work toward 100%.
Modern Ubisoft voice direction is so amateur it might as well not have voice direction
I think the voice acting thing feels more like stage acting instead of someone in front of someone else having a conversation. Like someone forgot to tell the voice actor they were not playing to the rafters but rather having a conversation with the microphone or maybe at best trying to be heard over a bit of wind. The writing can definitely be an issue as well. It sounds like the new stuff was written without the headspace of the world it was being added into. I could see having the writers play the game before writing it fixing that.
2:40 in the original game you could enter most settlements without loading screens. It was just the three big cities that required loading screens.
70% off in 3 years. A graphics card to do it justice may be available for a decent price by then as well.
1:43 Bethesda: what sorcery be this?!
I think it’s worth mentioning that not only did it run on a 360… it ran on a god dang Wii U!!
My oldest daughter was born in 2013. I have so many awesome memories from that year…Black Flag included!
If it was Bugthesda, it would have hundreds of loadscreens, bugs and missing content.
Watch the cinematic to Revelations and tell me a lack of hidden blade isn't important
This is gonna be my first real experience with black flag as a whole. I did own the og on the 360 but I did not get far at all, I just wasn’t feeling the series when I was a kid. But this time it might be different, what can I expect? I love pirates and I really grew to love stealth games
The best part about it for me is that I never played more than a couple hours of the old version, so I'm basically getting a whole new AC game to play tomorrow! Works for me! Yay procrastination!
It funny it was this exact game that got me to watch you lol
I don't care how good the remake is, this is a "we're sorry, now give us more money" game. they were supposed to give us a new game like black flag but without the Assassin's Creed IP, and what we got was an always online arcade ship battle game. Ubisoft won't be getting any money from me till they make the game that they were supposed to make.
Why do I feel like we deserve a new assassins creed game that makes us feel the way that Ezio made us feel? Instead of this, as nice as it looks.
Luke: "I love Boats, I love it more when they wreck" lol
