The only way to open the door in the first place would be to balance the pressure of the room to the moon. So realistically they are dead before they open the door.

I believe it would'nt be the cactus-like glass that would get them. It would probably be due to your own blood boiling because of the lack of pressure. That or due to the lack of oxygen and the temperature.
Russian Cosmonauts were dead within 40 seconds of the capsule getting a tiny leak. This feels a lot like 2 business days in comparison.

So many people being confidently wrong . You would not freeze, space is a vacuum so you would lose heat incredibly slowly. Yes there is no pressure but your blood would not boil. Moisture on your skin, eyes and tongue would and this has been documented but it would not burn you. Boiling does not mean 100 degrees. You wouldn't explode, your skin would hold you together though you would swell up. What will kill you is no breathable air (duh) and sunlight which is extremely dangerous without the ozone filtering it
The expansion wouldn’t even be the most noticeable thing here, solar radiation without proper shielding causes INSTANT burns, like worst burns possible kind of burns
You've explained it wrong. The main problem isn't the dust, but the lack of atmosphere. The lack of atmospheric pressure causes your blood to start boiling... your organs expand. That's why the duct tape suit is meant to simulate a G-force suit like the ones fighter pilots wear. It's not about avoiding dust, which is a problem, but about preventing your blood from evaporating instantly and your organs from collapsing.
It doesn't look like there are even any filters on those masks...

that was from for all mankind the story was they were stuck without suits and had to flip a switch on the outside of the station or the station would have gone up in a nuclear fireball..... they had no choice, they flipped the switch and died together in the airlock. they were a previously married couple, and both decided they two would have had a better chance of doing it...... they died as heroes.
A very sad scene and the death of two of the best characters in for all mankind. Amazing series too as they built a statue outside of NASA for these two astronauts
fun fact: math was done on that scene, and real numbers shown that you would need much less DUCT tape than that, and you'll survive much longer before consciousness loss, that's how strong the human body (and duct tape lol) is. unfortunately it wouldn't be a) as dramatic as it was in the show and b) people wouldn't have believed it calling unrealistic, despite it would've actually be more realistic than what ended up being filmed
They’re in direct sunlight so I believe unshielded exposure to solar radiation is what killed them… astronauts only land on the dark side of the moon to prevent this

Your blood wont boil in 0 atmospheres, it's kept under pressure by your heart, and your heart is fully able to keep your blood pumping under an atmosphere of pressure. And 1 atmosphere is signficantly less than the multiple atmospheres of pressure encountered while diving. This is like saying that if you dived down 70 feet, your blood would turn solid and any hole on your body would immediately flood with water based on the pressure differential so that you swelled up and exploded. Btw, 70 feet is like... 3 atmospheres, give or take the makeup of the water. However, the moondust theory is actually tested and plausible. Upon returning to earth, the equipment from the Apollo 11 mission was inspected and they found that the padded shoes of the astronauts were actually almost breached by sharp edges of the moon dust. This is due to the fact that the moon has no weathering forces and the sharp chips of rock from meteor impacts stay sharp and chipped and never round off from natural forces.
