After 17 long years steve can finally sit down
Holy notch apple This was literally the best way Mojang could’ve ever added furniture. A sitting block that just gets stacked on top of anything, making it the most versatile furniture block ever added, more so than any mod ever could. Insane.
I never thought of "furniture" being implemented like this. I love playing with furniture mods but a chair block only looks one way. A sofa is a sofa. A stool is a stool. The cushion is basically a function that allows players to create any sort of prop they can imagine. It feels very aligned with the creative spirit of Minecraft. Thank you, Mojang. Now I want concrete and terracotta stairs and slabs.

3:30 I think it’s good that they can’t naturally sit on cushions especially when they are used as decorations and in builds. You wouldn’t want uninvited guests on your creations

A user reported the ability to place cushions inside non-full blocks as a bug. I beg everyone to go to the Feedback Site and tell Mojang to keep it a feature... Edit: I can no longer find the bug report. It may have been removed or edited beyond recognition. Thank you all who raised awareness with your reactions, the creator of the bug report may have taken notice and edited their report.
The tower of cushions at 5:28 looks like a giant stack of pizza boxes.
They should make the chairs give off a redstone signal when you sit in it. That way you could activate like secret doors and traps. It would be a total game changer. I noticed a lot of people saying that it would be pretty tricky cuz it's an entity and while that is true, instead of having it set off Redstone signal it would just power the block that it's inside of if it's inside of one and if it's on top of one it would power the block below it which still would be pretty difficult but seems more viable.

3:44 This has gotta be intentional right? Why else would Mojang make the cushions sit EXACTLY above whatever they’re placed on instead of the normal block behavior of being grid-based. And if this IS intentional, then genuinely it might be one of the best things Mojang has done in a while. The amount of creativity and freedom that has been given with this is INSANE.
