I think there was also other way to defeat that tree - becoming a mushroom
Morty found a loophole and took full advantage of it
Notice how as a plant, Morty grew his way climbing the tree and wasn't met with any form of resistance like when he and Rick were animals
To beat the tree you must become the only thing a tree fears. A beaver, or those freaky tree parasites.
This is the point where the three should have realized that they were a genuine threat and let them leave would been better
Morty became the ecosystem
most relaxing episode so far
While Rick chose the violent path, Morty chose the peaceful path
YESSSSSSSSS SPORE REFERENCE FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT Edit: I meant the title of the short referenced it obviously the episode itself isn't about spore it's about evolution stop arguing in the replies PLEASE
This was probably my favourite episode of the season
This is actually kinda beautiful man
If morty was just slightly meaner and slightly smarter he would choose the most diverse and intense path of evolution, parasitism
In evolution civilization NOBODY picks the vegetable.
I like how due to how plants work reverting to seeds and growing anew Morty regardless of "dying" didn't return back to the cell stage and just kept growing it's the one way to break the cycle become something that can't be killed
Wait, so Morty is actually Mr. Frundles?
This was the most peaceful episode in Rick and Morty I think I've ever seen
This episode was beautiful, well animated, creative, educational, emotional. 10/10, one of the best Rick & Morty episodes.
That tree really deserved to die
Man this episode was really good. I enjoy how it wasn’t overly complicated. Plus it feels very original, never seen a concept like this before.
Morty casually becomes a planet
