jimmy youre the reason im addicted and broke hope youre happy
Jimmer, you still owe me that ETS2 stream
If you watch WRC content, the drivers absolutely have the classic stages memorized. They can't really account for conditions, but they know every corner by heart before they set off
arent the locations all laser scanned? id assume they get all the details right since they dont have to guess. although i understand "correct" doesnt always = "better".
Rally car go brrrr
If you compare this to onboard videos from the real-life Acropolis Rally they look very similar. I haven't been able to find an exact one-to-one comparison for these particularly stages, but I trust that Supernova have accurately replicated one of the routes. There's always this split between people wanting stages that feel like they represent the countries particular rally, even if that perception is formed from just a few iconic sections that aren't really representative of a drivers experience doing the stages and people who want the full, accurate simulated stages. I remember there was a lot of discussions about this around the time of the WRC8-10 games and DiRT Rally 2.0. WRC was praised for it's stage design but had entirely fictional layouts that were just inspired by the countries roads, whereas DR2 replicated real routes.
You don't need rocks on side when you've got deadly bushes:)
Destroying poor Subaru wasn't enough, you called it Imprexa on top of that 😭
The Gran Turismo 4 music in the intro really took me back lmao
jimmy youre the reason im addicted and broke hope youre happy ..
These are real life stages, so it's not like they just didn't want to put in the effort to make good stages because these stages are very very good replica's of the real life stages. But i also agree that they feel a bit flat, my hope is that they will add many more stages to every current Rally in this sim. If they do that then we will see many more cool and hard stages.
saw a video about an AC rally update from someone who drives a subaru impreza for real life rallies and he said the tyre model change is VERY realistic now and almost feels like what his car would feel like on a stage
12:18 No please is hilarious
Jimmy you should check out Gravel Co.'s video on the new update. He was extremely positive about the new update and the feel of the driving service and vehicle behaviours and how close it was to real life. Given his experience going from simming to real rally driving, he's get a better point of reference than almost anyone else.
9:58 car breaks because of the tiniest tree/bush I've ever seen... you should be able to run them over in my opinion.
been following you for a long time now Jimmer, ive watched you at brands hatch and im looking forward to getting my car ready, you was my biggest inspiration for me, im not wealthy at all, so i have to try what i can
Yeah, "hardcore" mode is still way too soft. I don't expect the car to lose radiator on a plastic jersey like in rbr, but defo needs a more punishing touch
When we all thought that rallying games were dead ACR came to save us. Thanks again AC Rally team🫡
3:57 Dirt rally 2 and EA WRC did this feature, it was most noticeable on monte carlo however, rather than all of them
