Oh liv, I’ve also been dealing with acne since I was about 12. Mine is similar to yours in that it may not be as noticeable from 6 feet away but I cannot tell you the emotional and physical pain it has caused me over the years. It sounds extreme, but I have cried over it. Of course it could be worse, but I try to explain to people it’s like being on a never ending cycle of trying new products, sticking to a strict routine, maybe getting treatments, being put on hormonal medication only for it to be made worse and it always ending with tears in the bathroom mirror. Then you pick yourself up and the cycle continues. I’ve tried cutting dairy, gluten, sugar, I even went vegan for a year! Everyone told me I would grow out of it but I’m 21 and still struggling. Thank you for your openness I know it’s cliche and I’m sure people say it all the time, but you showing your skin and being honest and vulnerable about it helps me to not blame myself so much, and realise (like you) I can be beautiful with acne. Thank you, as always Liv xx P.s. best thing I’ve ever used is la Roche posay cicaplast b5 balm, I had FLAWLESS skin. But I used it so much (and as it’s expensive) I’m not currently using it as much as my skin needs - hence the acne. But if it helps anyone else I cannot recommend it enough! It is highly recommended by leading dermatologists for skin barrier repair (like the stinging liv mentioned) and acne!

i’ve also had skin issues since year 6 and never have i known anyone else to so hearing that you have has comforted me in a way i can’t explain. i will 100% be buying that skin corrector ive been looking for something to make my acne less visible for the longest time ever. your genuinely a living angel ilysm liv, you never fail to make me feel so much better x
